Welcome to the Buffalo Cabin of Black Hills Ponderosa Place located in Custer, SD.

This cabin sleeps 6 guests and features a Queen bed in the bedroom, a full sized leather sofa sleeper, and a full sized log futon with an inner-spring mattress in the living area. Linens and bedding to accommodate up to 6 guests are provided.

All of our cabins include kitchen and dining facilities along with all the necessary tools for cooking, dining, and maintaining a healthy and tidy cabin atmosphere. There is a stove top for cooking, a toaster and microwave oven, a coffee pot, a small refrigerator in each of the cabins in Black Hills Ponderosa Place.

Each cabin also has a bathroom with a shower, sink , and stool.

For your enjoyment, when you return from an event filled day in the Black Hills, we have a Television with DVD player and a small number of DVD’s in each cabin. DVD rentals are also available in the city of Custer. We also have a few books in each cabin, if you get hooked on one and do not have the time to finish it, please feel free to take it and exchange it for a book that you have read and enjoyed, unless it is marked "not for exchange".

The choice of the name for the Buffalo Cabin comes in reference to the large number of Buffalo that you can see in Custer State Park, just a short drive to the east. Be sure to ask where the Buffalo herd is located when you arrive at the Wild Life Loop entrance.

Other attractions close to Black Hills Ponderosa Place are: Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse Mountain, Wind Cave, Jewel Cave, The Wild Horse Sanctuary, and the Mickelson Trail.

Minimum stay is 3 nights:   7 + nights:    $103.00/night, 5-6 nights:   $113.00/night, 3-4 nights:  $130.00/night, plus a $39.00 damage insurance payment, plus tax.

To make a reservation scroll to the bottom of this page and click on the "View Buffalo Cabin Availability" link.  Find the month of your arrival.  You may need to click on the arrow near the top to move to the proper month. Now click on the day on the calendar that you wish to arrive.  The next step is to click on the date that wish to depart.  This action will bring up a black box that say's reserve, click there and follow the directions to finish your reservation.
